Meet Milli2nd

Today we’d like to introduce you to Milli2nd.

Milli2nd, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a storyteller. For the most part of my professional life, I’ve used film and camera to tell my stories. About two years ago, I decided to chase my real passion – telling stories through music. I started playing piano and got into music production. It’s been a tough journey, admitting that music is what I live for and that’s what truly makes me happy, saying no to paying clients and spending that time to study theory, production… Had quite a few moments when I was doubting my decision, but looking back it was the right one. I love the internet.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not really. I always wanted to sing and perform. But as you learn more and get to the core of things, you adjust your dream a bit. The new goal is still reminiscent of that teenage one, but with a dose of reality.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I started making social media content this summer and a few of the videos blew up on TikTok. That put me on a map. I actually didn’t understand how important social media is for independent artists. So, I used everyday objects, eggs, water, etc. to make beats, TikTok algorithm picked it up and in a month, I went from 30k followers to 800k. Brands started approaching with deals, people that didn’t get back to me all of a sudden wanted to collab, crazy stuff!! It’s unbelievable what a number next your profile picture can do. I met many great people and am I more than ready to drop some cool songs.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
You don’t even know haha. I believe once you realize what your passion is, you put in the work and you do everything you possibly can to make great content, opportunities will start coming to you. If you give value to people, you will get value back. That’s why the internet is so great and I think that all of us are super lucky to be a part of this generation.
