Meet Mike Strip of in Pasadena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Strip.

Mike, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started in 2002, when my family bought me my first DJ system. Since then I’ve made my passion a business and performed at various events, music festivals, weddings and corporate events. In addition to DJ work I have always had a passion for producing music. Since 2004 I have written, produced, mixed and mastered over 80 songs, some of which have been featured on beatport, iTunes, as well as various television networks.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenges I’ve come into have been self-doubt, failure as well as being turned away by a few venues. Sometimes the reason for something not working out in your favor is because something better is waiting for you over the horizon. This is the belief I have kept no matter what the circumstances.

Please tell us about
At my business I specialize in mobile DJ entertainment, lighting and visuals for all types of music festivals, weddings, corporate events and more. In addition to providing entertainment services, I also manage a recording studio where bands, music producers and vocalists can get their music recorded, mixed and mastered.

What sets my business apart from others is the experience I have. I have been DJing since 2002 and producing music for television and movies before that. The finishing touches I put onto any project I have is far beyond the status quo.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Surfing with my father in high school. My family helped me when I was 12 years old get into electronic music production and I have not stopped ever since!
