Meet Michelle Blasen of Blazen Systems in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Blasen.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Michelle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I grew up in the small town of Albany, Oregon. When I was six years old I knew I wanted to be a professional soccer player. From that age on I dedicated my life to soccer and reaching a professional level. Long story short, I moved from Oregon to Santa Barbara at 17 and finished up high-school a year and a half early so I could start playing college ball. I trained that summer with the team and two-weeks prior to starting season my knee blew out. Without insurance or an income to get surgery, my career ended in a blink of an eye.

That was almost twelve years ago and in those twelve years, it took me four different careers, multiple certifications, insane life experiences and moving to five different cities to create what I have today. People ask how long it’s taken me to create my business which is not a one answer question. My systems have been put together by eleven years of experience. I’ve been life coaching for six years but have specifically been creating my business for athletes for two years. As a whole, this business has taken me eleven years to develop because I had to develop. The work I do with my clients is much more than mental skills, we work on such a deep level, so in order for me to do what I am today, I had to go through and work on every part of myself before actually getting to work with the client.

As I write this I have currently been traveling for a month in Florida and now New York to pursue my vision. The journey has been crazy and full of learning experiences and major highs, and lows, but it’s all finally coming together. I am currently a personal coach to high-school wrestling, college football, semi-pro and professional athletes-specifically basketball, golf and tennis.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road, but I am grateful for that because it’s helped me learn so much about myself and life in a short period of time.

The hardest part of this journey has been living in the unknown. Constant learning lessons physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually. Understanding how to take action and surrender at the same time, and choosing to be uncomfortable all the time in order to make this vision happen quickly.

I’ve given up most of life’s comforts, house hopped for a year, and have all my things in a 6×7 storage unit to financially be able to pursue this. What’s amazing though is that I’ve learned to be so present and have an incredible gratitude practice and attitude. My self-confidence and faith in myself and God are unshakeable now and has to lead me into a tunnel vision. With that tunnel vision, I’ve gotten to experience so many different things, travel, and meet incredible people. I’ve made connections to influential people who are helping me to create this massive vision and have done years of growth and work in half the time. I’ve also been blessed with amazing people in my life who have supported me every step of the way on this journey.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
A performance life coach is a cross between a mental coach and a life coach who is available 24/7. Our systems empower physical, psychological, and emotional skills to elevate your mind to its highest potential. We look at you as a whole, taking you through a detailed customized system that looks into every area of your life. We assist you on a day to day basis helping you to establish pre and post-game routines, self-awareness, physical and mental health, control of emotions, physical peak performance, clarity on identity, and preparing for a professional career. Together we discover and rewire the subconscious beliefs that are holding you back, giving you the mental clarity to perform better in three-months.

I specialize in being able to take in all the chaos my clients are going through, the pressures, the stress, the physical and mental side of their game, and what is going on in their personal life. I am able to simplify and organize it all for them to be able to be present and focus on their game and play to the best of their ability.

I am most proud of starting this business based on giving back. Blazen Systems is a coaching business dedicated to coming from a place of service, not only to our clients but to the people of this world. Every system we implement a portion goes back to charities to help restore our societies and inspire our clients to have an altruistic mindset.

I genuinely care and I’m for YOU. Your goals and dreams become my goals and dreams. I know the pressures, the anxiety of injury, the pain of feeling alone and not understanding who you are or what the future holds.

I never want a client of mine to feel alone on their journey of discovering who they are or anyone for that matter. The incident of losing soccer brought to surface so much pain but because of that pain, I have joy that I now get to share. I am always working on myself so that I can be better for you. I’ve taken all that I’ve experienced and learned the past twelve years and simplified it into systems you can easily understand. With my systems and intuition, I am able to teach you how to not only take your sport to the next level but understand life and your purpose(s).

What were you like growing up?
I was always outside playing something. Whether it was doing cartwheels, playing street hockey, basketball, soccer, football, climbing trees, rollerblading/skateboarding or running around in the woods getting into some sort of trouble. I was a tomboy, I loved running around with the boys getting dirty and taking risks. Soccer was my number one though and I was obsessed with all things soccer starting at five years old.

I had a lot of friends but became a bit more introverted as I got older and appreciated having alone time. I loved music and writing, two things that have never left me and have helped me through so much.
