Meet Micaelo Duran of Wazing’s Hardwood Flooring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Micaelo Duran.

Hi Micaelo, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
First of all, I would like to thank you for this opportunity.

I am the Owner of Wazing’s Hardwood Flooring here in the beautiful Los Angeles, CA. At a young age, I knew I wanted to work for myself. When I was working for other companies, I had my own ways of doing things to make it easier and more efficient, but we didn’t see eye to eye, so I decided to take the route of entrepreneurship.

I started many businesses before this one. Not gonna lie not all of them were successful, but they did teach me very valuable lessons throughout my career, I am glad that I tried. You will never know if you never try! You can say that I am more of a risk-taker. The adrenaline rush just feels so right to me. Having a background in Business, I just knew starting my own is my destiny.

When I first started Wazing’s Hardwood Flooring, I had to wear different hats, it was tough, had to start from the ground- UP, many sleepless nights, and I had to learn newer ways to market myself, through many different social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Google, you name it.

I learned it all, working 24/7 reaching out to customers, answering phone calls, writing hundreds of emails, sending out hundreds of text messages, cold calling, door to door, walking around handing out my business cards, and flyers, and this was on a daily basis!

All the efforts that I had put in just so I can finally get customers was a lot for anyone to handle, but I kept going. I told myself that I wasn’t gonna get lucky if I’m not doing anything.

Finally, my hard work has started to show some results…. Slowly, but it was the happiest moment I had felt since starting this company. Momentum flowing, customers comin’ we’re getting noticed. Finally results! This motivated me much more and I just kept on thriving, doubling work as much as I could.

Perfecting my crafts, putting in work to make sure that our customers are happy with the result of our work, to make sure that they know they are in good hands. Our goal is to always adapt to our environment into making sure we are always ahead of our game and always innovating to something better, to be able to provide the best services for our customers.

Being in Los Angeles, in a very competitive industry for us to be ranking as one of the top service providers today is definitely a huge accomplishment and it has been the most difficult, but rewarding moment of my life. My perseverance and work ethic has put us in a place where we are at today. We have grown so much as a Company.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This entire road trip has been a bumpy one, with lots of u-turns, and stoplights. Getting customers were one, if not the hardest thing to do as a service provider, especially in our industry.

My competitions were too great, with so many others who were already in business for so many years. Learning new creative ways to market ourselves and to show our customers that we are different! We are not your typical service provider, we go beyond what is expected of us.

That is why we have evolved tremendously in a short period of time.

We are one of the Top service providers here in Los Angeles, CA. We offer hardwood flooring services and specialize in Refinishing, Installation, and Repairs.

Our advanced technology and creative ways to interact with our customers are what they remember the most about us and of course our beautiful work of art. We have hardworking, skillful, talented individuals who thrive and share the same value as us and that is one of the best things you could ever ask for.

Seeing firsthand the customer’s reactions is one of the most heartfelt feelings as you understand how much they appreciate your hard work, leaving you their nice review is definitely much appreciated.
