Meet Mehrnoosh Eskandari in Encino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mehrnoosh Eskandari.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I came to the US in 2014 to pursue my goal as an artist. I went to CSUN for the grad school and I graduated in May 2017 and after that I started teaching art as well as working in my studio as a painter and trying to show and sell my artwork.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
At first, when I came to America it was very difficult to communicate. That time I couldn’t speak English fluently and I didn’t have family or friend here but I realize when you cannot verbalize very well, you can visualize very well. Being at grad school, trying to adjust myself to American culture and at the same time survive myself, all were struggling but I believe everybody knows themselves better when they struggle. I never lose my hope and I always try to be positive. In hard time I keep telling myself it is temporary and you will passed it.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I actually do not have a company. I am doing painting and I am enjoying every moment of painting. Right after my graduation, I have shown in the VPAC art gallery and PØST gallery. I am proud of being an independent woman who overcomes so many difficulties and as an artist, I am proud of myself that never lose my hope in my career.
