Meet Meghan Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan Rose.

Meghan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m still trying to get that perfect “elevator pitch” story down, but here goes nothing… I grew up in a very conservative and traditional part of the country. I was born and raised in New Hampshire, with über-religious backgrounds on both my mom’s side and dad’s side of the family. I’m the first person in our family on either side to do two things: receive a college degree and to move out of state. To most, it’s nowhere close to a monumental feat, but to me it signified that generational trauma was being broken.

Although I didn’t start doing intuitive healing work until I was in my early-twenties, I was raised with my mom sneaking me into palm readers and psychics on the boardwalk, an aunt who introduced me to yoga and reiki healing, and a grandmother that- no matter how much she wants to deny it- can connect with the deceased and has actually predicted deaths in our family for as long as I can remember.

All of these practices piqued my interest enough that when I was working my last corporate job in Downtown LA, it felt natural to say “f* it, I’m following my heart from here on out”.

I worked under my tarot mentor for nine months before starting to read professionally a couple of years ago, received my reiki attunements with my Reiki Master on the West Side, and finished my Yoga Teacher Training in the Valley. Los Angeles allowed me to explore my interests with purpose and eventually made my career out of these practices.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not entirely… Although if you met my parents, and saw how supportive they have been about each and every decision I’ve wanted to make in this lifetime (from bleaching my hair in high school to currently identifying as a tarot card reader) you’d be hard-pressed to say I “had it rough” when it came to following my heart.

However, I think with any worth-while goal, you’re going to struggle; monetarily, by shedding your identity & comfort zone, testing your limitations with patience, and so forth. For me: I grew up pretty poor, I had working-class parents that had to work overtime to make ends meet, and so when the time came for me to pave my own career path, I chose to forego the “college experience”. I lived at home so I could work a full-time job while getting my degree, so I could pay my tuition out-of-pocket. I walked out of University with a 4.0 and $0 in debt and rewarded myself with a one-way ticket out to Los Angeles.

When I got out here, I couch-surfed with a couple of my guy friends who had moved out here a few years prior, and within two weeks, I landed a job and was living in my first apartment. But within these last three years, I’ve had: 6 apartments, 4 Executive Assistant positions, lost some of my closest friends and family support, and ultimately had to redefine who I thought I was. All of which I can say has lead me to the beautiful, deeply moving, and extremely rewarding position I find myself in today – living my dream.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Meghan Rose Wellness – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
“Meghan Rose Wellness” (@meghanrosewellness) is my identity in the healing space. I am a trained tarot card reader, reiki energy healer, Yoga Instructor (RYT-200hr), and Meditation Teacher.

I recently created, produced, and trademarked my own class format called ‘Intuitive Tarot Manifestation’ that you can find as a class or a workshop depending on the studio that I’m holding it at. It’s my baby… and I would love for you to come and try it out!

I would say the thing that sets me apart from others in the space is the empathy I have to so many others. I grew up impoverished, I’ve been through multiple types of abuse, I had clinically-diagnosed anxiety, and I share these things only as a testament to the power of healing work.

When I work with my clients, it’s my goal to give them a safe and loving space, being patient with the process of separating their truth from their trauma. After that, we can get to the bottom of their individual needs in healing. With a multitude of “tools” in the toolbox (tarot, reiki, yoga, meditation) – my clients have a service menu to choose from, and it’s all rooted in love and acceptance.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have a couple of things in the works right now that I’m so excited to launch and discuss in 2020.

For now, it’s working towards partnering with additional studios around LA to bring ‘Intuitive Tarot Manifestation’ to more people in our Los Angeles community, producing and posting video content (guided meditations, astrology-based tarot readings, and yoga flows), as well as putting on retreats with other amazing healers in the space.

My current goal for myself is to train in sound healing, so I can bring another layer of relaxation and realignment to my clients.

I have day-long, destination, and overnight retreats that are coming up in the near future, as well as workshops, events, and classes to join… so keep a lookout for all of these exciting opportunities to work together on my website:!
