Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghan McCabe.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Evergreen was founded in 2016 for several reasons. Initially I began my management training with The Green Room in Hollywood, and I fell in love. This career blended everything I had studied so far with everything I wanted in life. I could tell I had an eye for it, and as a woman I loved the idea of owning my own company.
One that would allow me the creative opportunity to produce projects, to help actors with their career, and to give back to a cause that I cared deeply about. I knew I wanted to give back to environmental organizations, and once I decided on the type of client I wanted to represent the name Evergreen made so much sense. That’s when I knew I could run with it.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been up and down. One of the struggles was figuring out how to utilize social media sites for the benefit of the company, and I was very fortunate to have received some smart advice from a business associate. Sometimes you need to remember that it’s okay to reach out and ask someone. You can’t do everything alone, even though you might want to.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Evergreen is all about Sustainability, in Entertainment and the Environment. Evergreen Talent Management is an eco-conscious company that focuses on theatrical & commercial talent management for actors in film & television. Evergreen has an eco-friendly focus, a commitment to green energy, and believes in hard-working and focused actors that have flexibility & longevity.
Evergreen is thrilled to have been able to give back to green organizations including Earth Day Network and Nature Bridge, and continues to support efforts like #strawlessocean and #stopsucking, which aim to reduce plastic waste in our oceans and create awareness about the effects of plastic on our earth and health. Evergreen also creates local give backs that help educate people about sustainable changes they can implement that will help the environment.
Currently representing Lisa Medway (The Jeffersons, All In The Family, Blondes vs. Brunettes), and Rileah Vanderbilt (Team Unicorn, Blame It On Science, Rainfall Films’ Wonder Woman) as some pretty strong women, Evergreen prides itself on focused, disciplined actors (like Ricky Cruz, a Groundling’s Level 3 student), and an individualized approach to management.
Some of the projects that various clients have booked include My Crazy Ex, Shameless, Silicon Valley, Investigation Discovery, Oculus, Amazon, Coldwell Banker, and Lowe’s Home Improvement.
