Meet Matthew Clark of King Man Productions in San Fernando Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Clark.

Matthew, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and founded King Man Productions, a comedy, music, and radio production company. We create and produce all original content, mostly sketch comedy videos on YouTube and podcasts. In 2015, we launched The Podcastle, a podcast in which I host with two of my best friends.

Since then, The Podcastle is now streaming on Roku, Spotify, iTunes, and Podbean. I was signed to Maker Studios (now Disney Digital Network) from 2012 – 2016. In 2016, I wrote, edited, and starred in a pilot for Disney called “Shark Bites.”

In 2019, I launched “King Man TV,” which is an entertainment channel on Roku. Original King Man Productions content, as well as other people’s channels and content, can be streamed for free on here.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It could always be better. But I think with a lot of creative people, the good times are better and the bad times are worse.

Please tell us about King Man Productions.

We’ve had a lot of famous guests on our show, and the amount of people that listen and watch us from all over the world is pretty cool.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Going to the zoo and watching The Phillies play at Veterans Stadium.
