Meet Marquis Stewart

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquis Stewart.

Hi Marquis, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born May 4th, 1995 in St. Louis MO at 1:27 am on a Thursday morning. My queen’s name is Melissa Stewart and my pops name is Keith Stewart Sr. I am the youngest of five siblings and was raised with a lot of love and support, being taught family is everything. In my toddler to young youth years, I was severely bullied not only mentally but, as well as physically & emotionally. I also was a victim of molestation twice. When I became a teen, I started to experience extreme anxiety due to the fact I was holding on to so much on the inside hiding all the turmoils I had endured from my family. It became so intense to the point I also tried to commit suicide and wasn’t successful. It was then at that moment I had to ship right and figure out which direction was going to be taken from that point on in my life. I started to strengthen my relationship with god faithfully praying everyday and every night down on my knees just surrendering myself for greater changes & better.

As time went on not only did god do just that for me but x10. I started getting more serious with my acting, modeling, talk show hosting and entrepreneurship at the age of 17. Looking back now I am thankful I had gone through what I did because it showed & taught me not only is god real but when you come before him and pour everything out and trust in him, he will favor you no matter what it looks like , the turmoil or storm. My testimony is why I founded my nonprofit organization “living greatness by alexander” to help those through counseling, mentoring or empowerment that may have lost their way, feel unheard, stuck, or don’t know how to move past their traumas. I want to create greatness in this world and help everyone see no matter what you have the key & power to make positivity your reality being who you want to be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. With my faith in trust in God, it’s been a very persevering road. I always given the strength to keep on pushing and carrying on. I experienced abandonment from family that was supposed to help me, homelessness and staying from hotel to hotel when I had the money to do so. One thing I will say is I’m very optimistic and know there is always bigger and better waiting regardless of any situation and it always puts me where I need to be at the right time for all and every opportunity God allows me to take on.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an inspiring actor, artist, model, host & CEO. I just recently wrapped a color visions feature film “princess cut” as a supporting role and it’s going to be something the world needs for laughter and just having a good time watching. I also filmed for a bet & lifetime movie “cheating in the next room” which will be very juicy with the events taking place. Another movie is “the ramen” that I play a transgender in is going to be a #1 hit with cool like dat studios. I’ve appeared in a weedmaps commercial, all American and Euphoria. I am working on my album now, that will be titled “matrix” I am really humble and grateful for this project to be able to really showcase my ability as a vocal artist and rapper. My biggest modeling project I did was recently becoming a model for puma. I am looking into starting back up my talk show with a platform or studio this time around. Being CEO of “living greatness by alexander” is so rewarding and great responsibility. I’m excited to inform that I have partnered with meta on Facebook for a project where I will be able to share my story and bring “living greatness by alexander” to the light globally.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I want to always show my gratefulness to my Queen, Pops and those who support me in my family. I mean the way that they push me and just there by my side is incredible. I know GOD saw fit for the family and friends I would need in my life and on my journey. I would also like to say my 1st-grade teacher Mrs. Hicks is someone I always keep in mind and think of because she has always seen my light and I will always remember that. Being I was going through a lot and was doing things for a cry out for help acting out and being bad she was the only one that seen past it and really gave me the spark I needed in how she went about managing me and shaping me for the better.
