Meet Marni & Dana Haber of Haber Event Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marni & Dana Haber.

Marni & Dana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Immediately after college at UCSB, we both went into Non-profit fundraising and worked in-house for a variety of local LA organizations. We both wound up planning events for those organizations and realized we had a knack for organization and a love for design. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, we always knew we wanted to start a business together. We started our business about 8 years ago and have since branched out into planning social events such as Weddings and Bar Mitzvahs as well as Fundraising events.

Has it been a smooth road?
One of our bigger challenges has been figuring out what types of events to focus on. We love working with Non-Profits cause it feels good to make an impact on our community, while we love the creativity and fun that planning social events provides. Along the way, we decided we didn’t want to give up either, and so we have Marni focus on Non-Profit and corporate events, while Dana focuses on Weddings and Bar Mitzvahs.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Haber Event Group – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We specialize in creative collaboration with our clients. We want to hear what you are imagining and then make it better through brainstorming, creativity, and experience. We feel that our extensive experience planning events provides us with important knowledge of what works. Plus the vendors we choose to work with have been thoroughly vetted and are trusted, partners.

We are known for our calm energy that puts others around us at ease and our practical and creative problem solving.

We are proud of making our clients over the moon happy about their successful events. Nothing pleases us more than happy clients.

We are different from others because of our personalities. We are here to help our clients succeed not only in throwing an amazing event but in keeping their sanity while they do it.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Best has to be the cultural diversity. This includes the amazing variety of ethnic food to the variety of art, theater and sporting events.

We dislike the lack of an effective public transportation system. We know it is in the works, but it can’t come soon enough!
