Today we’d like to introduce you to Margo Lovett.
Margo Lovett is the creator and host of Her Business Her Voice Her Conversation, a podcast giving how-to instruction, information, inspiration to those looking to #reinvent, becoming an author, speaker, entrepreneur. Trailblazing entrepreneurs such as Bro. Bedford, David Dunworth, and Mary Crafts & Nicholas Hinrichsen have been guests. After ending 26 years of employment, Margo launched her first show in October 2017 and two years on the Vercay Network secured over 1 million downloads. Margo did this at age 61. This best-selling author loves teaching podcasting at her Academy – Podcast Academy Online.
“I created Podcast Academy Online for the adult ready to design, build, and launch their podcast at their own pace.” This membership community Academy teaches how to podcast “from the inside out” along with the technical and marketing components. Weekly live Q & A is in place for accountability, clarity on the lessons presented in 6 modules. There are no stupid questions ever, and you can learn to podcast even if you do not fully understand what a podcast is, how it operates in the beginning.
Since COVID has placed a tight grip on many entrepreneurs, Sept 1, Margo opens the vault to release conversations from entrepreneurs that will surly give fresh how-to instruction, information, inspiration. It’s usually one missing piece of information, a story an entrepreneur needs to make a good decision. By weekly, Margo will release on LinkedIn, the Her Business Her Voice Her Conversation business page. Another dilemma COVID has created for entrepreneurs is remembering to update the media page for marketing purposes. Margo believes in being ready for marketing (that can not slow down at this time) and has offered her podcasting expertise to help entrepreneurs produce a current podcast interview. She can also get the interview placed in a women’s leadership blog. Entrepreneurs’ plates are overflowing these days. I gladly provide the re-released interviews for the study’s sake and help create a media page ready to represent and answer every request!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Heck no. I have always been an employee, making money for a company I did not own and to move from a weekly paycheck to the very slow organic growth of podcasting has been a challenge financially and a test of nerve! At age 66, I have a small team, but the search for acceptance or denial of guests, the building of relationships (mainly on Linkedin), the production of Her Business, weekly teaching at the Academy are on me, and yes I love most minutes of it. Smooth road, I left that when podcasting was just a hobby!
Please tell us about Her Business Her Voice Her Conversation / Podcast Academy Online.
COVID has revealed how important Her Business Her Voice Her Conversation is as a podcast. People are searching for how-to information, answers to what it looks like to #reinvent, become an author, podcaster, entrepreneur. Now many people have been fired, furloughed and these questions that swirled in the back of their minds when all was good, now are yelling for answers, examples, proof that what they want to do can be done. Now – for the entrepreneur, my podcast is spot on because as I said earlier, just one conversation, a piece of information can make all the difference in the world when making decisions. So in a nutshell, I created a mecca (nonstop communication) for information concerning podcasting, becoming an author, entrepreneur.
My mentor told me in 2017 to always keep working on my craft, and that is what I do. Exercise this God-given gift to interview and become stronger and more confident every year. My instincts are getting quite sharp, and I have learned to listen!
Podcast Academy Online is a learn at your pace, membership community built to meet the lifestyle of adults. I teach how to design and launch a podcast organically and build it “from the inside out” It’s for your audience, but your essence is there by way of confidence, transparency, and passion. All of this is there when you address the man in the mirror, move & modify those things that can interfere with the future of your podcasts because you must be present every episode.
I am proud that I built and stand by my podcast & Academy at and after age 61. Boomers need to see the fruit on the other side of fear and I want to/ can help them with their #reinventive journey. The world says it pivoted, I have #reinvented and that’s what I offer to my students.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?

My mother and father saw me work podcasting as a hobby before they passed. Both would faithfully listen and really cared that I get the shows out.
