Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Arthur.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Madison. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved out to Los Angeles almost five years ago to pursue a career in acting and along the way, I had many jobs that were in the fitness industry, working for different gyms. I have always been very active, I danced for 15 years, was a cheerleader, took gymnastics and after I graduated high school in 2014, I really started taking my health seriously. I have always believed my purpose was to inspire and lift people up. I have a very bubbly personality and love getting to know people. I found my love for fitness while trying to keep my mind, body, and soul strong to continue to work in such a tough industry like entertainment, that I realized I want to help people feel their best. I am now trained as a yoga instructor and am going to continue to grow my brand in the fitness industry to help me bring in money to be able to continue through with my acting career.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’m the type of person who truly believes things happen for a reason. So, whether or not I got the job I wanted I knew that I was where I was supposed to be at that time. I think you just have to find your purpose, what makes you happy and run with it. I am learning that failing is a big part of the “success”. You have to see what works and doesn’t and continue to persevere.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company is called Madison A Fitness, you can find my page on Instagram for now! I am training people through fitness and helping build them up from the inside out. You have to have a strong mind to be able to build your strength from the outside. I am proud that I am lucky enough to know what I want and go after it. I believe in myself and know that this is for me. I think what sets me apart from others is the fact that I am looking at health as more than just lifting weights and drinking your protein.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I do think LA is meant for people like me haha! I say that because there is so much to get inspired from here and there is room for everybody’s “business”. You can learn from others similar to yours and add in your own taste. I think starting out in LA is tough, I say this because there are a lot of people out here. A lot of people who want to be something, so if you are ready to work in this city with whatever that may be you need to be strong-willed.
