Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucy Moscrop.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started my page @lucytakestexas to celebrate adventure and self-expression. I love life and seek to live everyday with excitement, kindness, and gratitude for giving myself permission to march to the beat of my own drum. My page is an exciting place to express and document the fun times in my life. And sometimes “doing it for the gram” encourages me to live more of it. Through the channel, I have met several wonderful co-influencers and developed motivating and inspiring friendships. I plan to continue growing my page and having fun in the process!
Has it been a smooth road?
There have been no struggles in the creation of my page as it is a passion project. However, the spirit of my page is, in essence, a celebration of triumph over struggle. I have had my fair share of struggle in life as we all have, but I choose to focus on the abundant blessings. I actually feel a sort of debt to the community and Texas as a whole, I feel that the culture and values here in Texas more closely align with my own and I think that shows on my page.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Well for the time being I would describe @lucytakestexas as a lifestyle page. I love to explore local businesses and share the gems that I find. I also collaborate with other talented creators and am excited to work on improving my content.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Instagram is wildly popular, so I want to say it will be around for quite sometime. Social media can actually be a force for uniting people and facilitating real friendships and collaborations. Sometimes when you see someone in public with their nose buried in their phone, don’t assume that they are disconnected. In fact, they are probably more deeply connected with people than the person reading the newspaper. Instagram isn’t going anywhere. And as long as it’s around, I will be actively creating and sharing on the platform.
