Today we’d like to introduce you to Lital Algazi.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Lital. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m originally from Israel where my story begins. I have been a dental hygienist for 12 yrs. but my passion and my dreams have always been to baker and to open my own bakery. My story started with the birth of my son Liad, where while I was on maternity leave from being a hygienist, I began to make cakes and desserts for the people at the office building where I worked. Everyone would tell me that I should do this for a living and to open up a bakery of my own.
The idea was always in my mind and would eat at me whenever a birthday party for friends, or their children would come around. On my daughters 4 birthday I went to order a cake for the celebration but there were no options that I knew my daughter Daniella would like. So, what should I do? How could I make Daniella’s birthday party and cake all that she wanted it to be. I decided to do it myself. This was my first time making a cake, Dora the Explorer, and I was so excited about the prospect of doing this, but this would be easier said than done. This would be first time that I would be not only be getting feedback from grownups, but also from kids that would be having birthday parties as well. After the party celebration and the results of how much the parents and kids loved what I had made, I began to get request to make specialty cake for other children, I was finally getting into what my heart desired I do, my love of baking and designing cakes was quickly starting to become more and more requested. As with anything the first step is always the hardest, but I had the backing of my husband, Nir, and my family. I was on my way.
That was the beginning When I moved to America I had to start from scratch. This was a new place, new people, new taste and new wants, I was slow to start and afraid of what the results would be. Taking it one step at a time and with each new idea or cake I bake my confidence has grown. Today we work from the bakery kitchen in Orange County and we make our cakes, cupcakes, and all our desserts table arrangements from scratch. We specialize in making a secret filling that has my clients returning, wanting more and referring us to their friends. Our bakery’s journey has taken us to be named the “BEST DESSERT” on the OC Hotlist for 2017
Dreams do come true, and anything is possible if you believe.

Nothing is easy! It was a long way and there is still more to go. 🙂
I used to say… ”the is only hard in the bread.” The hardest was to try so many times and finally get the best results and texture for our secret frosting.
