Meet Libby Rothschild

Today we’d like to introduce you to Libby Rothschild.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always been drawn to making my own rules and creating the money that I deserve on my own terms. I’ve acted like an entrepreneur since I was a young girl. Being raised by a single mom taught me how to act like an independent woman and always give back to other women to inspire and empower them. Being raised by a single parent forced me to grow up fast. I found work as a nanny in middle school, at a bank in high school and I created my ten years long personal training business in college. I’m trained as a clinical dietitian; I worked in the field as a nutritionist for four years until I became a full-time virtual business coach.

I got my “big break” by using social media as a platform to reach more people and make money. I saw that my colleagues (fellow registered dietitians) were not talking about making money or how much they earn (especially women), so I decided to start the conversation on Instagram right from my office as a full-time nutritionist. Talking about making money became my business motto, which soon turned into my full-time business. Before using social media marketing, I relied on outdated ways to make money, such as in-person networking and word of mouth referrals. Once I learned about the impact and earning potential of using Instagram to market myself, I immediately made over $1000 dollars in my second month of using the platform with affiliate marketing, for a course to help women market themselves. I used social media to create a side business and transform it into a full time, half a million-dollar company, after only 11 months.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Which part? My virtual business has been very smooth. I started my work because I’m passionate and I made money very fast. The demand for my services has been consistently strong, and I keep hiring people to help me keep up with myself. It did take me about a year to develop a more refined message, but nothing held me back from helping women and charging for my services. Once I started my business things have been smooth, but the part that hasn’t been smooth is how it took me too long to get here. As women, we struggle with imposter syndrome, meaning we don’t think that we are worthy or good enough. I’m 33 years old now, and in my 20’s I struggled so much with my worth that I didn’t have the courage to be consistent with using social media the way that I do now. I specifically love inspiring women in their 20’s; I feel that if I had a better network of women when I was in my 20s id be further ahead now. Owning your worth and increasing your rates as a woman is scary. I get it. I’ve been there and I’m proud to be a trusted resource for women with the free content that I provide daily on Instagram (@libbyrothschild) and weekly on my podcast (Dietitian Boss).

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I show female dietitians from around the world how to make money. I specialize in social media marketing. I help three different types of dietitians: those just starting a private practice, those who are making money but under 10k in revenue per month, and those making over 10k in revenue per month. I’m known for transforming women from dietitians into dietitian bosses, meaning they become a higher earner and they own their role as the CEO of their business. I have guided multiple clients from a side business to full time, and I’ve taken one client from nothing to a multi-6 figure business in one year. I show dietitians how to create their offer, increase prices, charge their worth, negotiate and create processes and systems to market and sell leveraging social media marketing. My clients sell physical products like cannabis supplements, digital products like ebooks, online courses and membership and services like group coaching and 1:1 coaching. My clients also work with brands for pay.

I’m most proud of taking young dietitians and students who are just starting out and transforming them into the CEO of their 6 figure/multi-6 figure company. Giving women the opportunity to create the business of their dreams earlier on in their life is the most rewarding and fulfilling legacy I can leave. It’s also personal to me since I always wanted support from fellow females when I was in my 20s and I found it so hard to find. I’m proud to bridge that gap and empower women.

What sets me apart is how I’ve focused my message, or niched down to helping registered dietitians make money using social media (specialty Instagram). My company has grown to half a million in 11 months and the growth will continue. I don’t have a trained background in sales or marketing, and you don’t need one either to make an impact and create the money you deserve. I teach women what they need to make the money they deserve; an internet connection, and a solid strategy. I can provide the strategy if you have an internet connection.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The characteristics that make me stand out is work ethic– I show up and do the work consistently. I’m focused, ambitious and I take my audience with me on my journey every step of the way, which inspires them and holds me accountable. My philosophy is based on my higher purpose: women helping women – a motto I feel deeply connected to because I was raised by a single mom. My business philosophy is based on what she taught me as a child:
#1. If you want money — earn it
#2. Empower other women and,
#3. Ask for help
