Meet Lexi Eveleth of Ever Laser

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi Eveleth.

Lexi, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ever Laser is a laser cutting company born out of my love for design and technology. I am a very hands-on person, so when I was planning my wedding, I couldn’t help but get swept up in the details. I had taken a class in laser cutting and engraving and decided to employ that skill in my invitations and decor for my big day.

I created laser engraved rubber stamps with my hand lettering, which I used for our hand bound invitation “booklets”. I made small wooden laser cut pine trees for our winter wedding table scape with matching hand lettered laser cut table numbers, and an engraved seating chart and guestbook.

The feedback I received from friends and family was so encouraging that I decided to begin offering my custom services to other brides using Instagram to build a following (@everlaser). When my initial offerings were met with even more demand, I launched and we’ve been growing ever since.

We’ve expanded our offerings from wedding signage and decor to laser cut invitations, wall art for nurseries and kids rooms (@everlaserkids), and custom signage for businesses and corporate events. I have a passion for creating custom pieces for my clients – personalized items that they can keep and cherish forever.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road so far has had its share of bumps but we’ve never been discouraged. Building a business is all about pushing yourself to overcome obstacles and achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves. Some days are harder than others and I definitely work some long, crazy hours at times, but I’m a firm believer that overcoming obstacles is what makes us stronger and better in the end. It’s what forces us to rethink our processes to become more efficient, take the plunge to upgrade our equipment, hire new employees, etc.

We’d love to hear more about your business.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think LA is a great city for a business like mine because there are so many exciting events that are constantly going on. I’d like to make custom laser cut signage for all of them!
