Meet Lena Anthony

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lena Anthony.

Drive, passion, and beauty are personified within Lena Anthony. This Philadelphia native has taken the Los Angeles acting scene by storm since her emergence in 2012. As a young girl, Anthony knew she would be successful. She is a Communications and Theatre Graduate of Penn State. Anthony has starred in several independent films and TV shows.

Her latest film project ”All In” was screened at the American Black Film Festival in June 2019 which won the “BET Audience Award”. Anthony has spent the last two years developing as a writer/producer. With much new content in her portfolio, she will be presenting 3SOME and SOULFUL SUNDAZE on youtube tv as her entrance into modern television as an actress, writer, and producer. Lena Anthony studies at Identity School of Acting. According to deadline the #1 school in LA that emerges from the UK. She will be making history as the first class to graduate this year. John Boyega, Letitia Wright & Damson Idris among patrons of the new LA drama school.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Navigating LA has been a life-changing journey. She’s learned that nothing easy is worth having. She has went through many obstacles that tried to break her but in the end, has only made her stronger. From sexual harassment in the entertainment industry from people we look to help our careers to many other personal experiences but through the triumphs, God has kept her and empowered her to put her pain on paper and use her voice to inspire this bruised generation. Anthony has learned that she can only teach by experience. She truly believes that she had to be a sacrifice and go through the fire in order to grow in boldness and become a vessel for many.

Please tell us more about your work.
Acting and producing is my passion, but empowerment speaking is my purpose. I am using my platform for purpose. which led to my organization “Platform4Purpose” which I am most proud of. Platform4Purpose was founded by Lena and her husband Todd Anthony in 2017.

They have been officially married for two years now, both born and raised in Philadelphia but it wasn’t until they embarked on their acting journey relocating to Los Angeles which introduced them to each other. 2016 on her 30th birthday the two got engaged and that following October they became one! Their mission is simple: to empower women and men from a young age to recognize the value of their individual and unique voices by walking in their God-given purpose.

We are using our platform for a purpose by empowering people to change their lives by using their God-given talents in a purposeful way. We empower people to speak power by

using their mouth to change their life. For more information on Platform4Purpose follow @platform4purpose on all social media.

“What purpose am I, if I am not benefiting others”.

 ~Lena Anthony

My mission is to tell powerful but purposeful stories, so this year I decided to launch a Talk show called “Soulful Sundaze”, a youtube women empowerment talk show. Were myself and two other co-host offer soul-inspired conversations that are authentic and insightful with topics women encounter every day. This season we have a blend of special guest. We discuss all things purpose, addictions, marriage, confidence, identity and more.

I am also super excited to share that I launched a Gofundme campaign for a very special project that is near and dear to my heart. It’s based on my real-life experience. 3some is my newest project. It is a web series. I will be starring and producing.

Enough is enough after almost 18 years of sexual harassment in my life. It was time to put my pain into action and do something about what has happened to me and other women and girls across the world. My mission is simple: to inspire women from a young age to recognize the value of their individual and unique voices.

3some was birthed in 2016, as just an outlet for me to release on paper what I was experiencing in the world, without actually speaking to the world. The more I would write, the more I would engage with people who just so happen to talk about the conditions of their lives, realizing that they are common and that they want them to change.

In just a year later, the birth of the #MeToo movement happened in October 2017 and has signaled a massive shift in society’s attitude towards sexual harassment in society.

I now know that when we speak up the future is brighter, when we see ourselves it creates purpose. This creative digital series will be a light for the movement and an instrument for healing to take place. Please follow 3some the series on IG @3sometheseries and help us get this story made.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
There is nothing I would do differently, I know that everything I went through in my life was for a reason and most of all I know my purpose in this world. I have truly given my life to God to be a vessel for him. I am grateful because he has created me with boldness. As I experience I will continue to speak up because I truly believe I am a solution to the problems most women face in the world. The world will know my name by the God-given words I speak and the stories I tell.
