Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Pulciano.
Lauren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a filmmaker. I was inspired to create at an early age since I grew up in Los Angeles. Being surrounded by artists sparked my interest in storytelling; I believe everyone has a story that should be told.
I studied film and digital media at Baylor University and graduated with a film degree in 2017. Right after college, I moved back to LA and immediately started to work as a production assistant for an NBC sitcom and eventually was promoted to Netflix scripted shows.
I am determined to keep working until I have enough experience and legitimacy to be a Hollywood producer for TV shows specializing in post-production.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Part of the reason I am so interested in film is because of my tough childhood.
Some of the struggles included learning how to cope with severe OCD and family problems that is uncontrollable.
I was inspired to use my pain to create and inspire others with film. I love the underdog story.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Silent Crowd Films – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in autobiography documentaries. I like to take people’s personal stories to inspire others who suffer a certain struggle. My company looks specifically for hardworking and humble individuals who genuinely want to help others and help bring positivity to communities.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am planning on becoming a strong female producer in Hollywood. I am looking forward to building my resume and getting as many projects as I can. I will never stop learning.
I am also hoping I can turn my personal work into a reality. I love to produce comedy sketches.
