Meet Laura Carrillo of Narrative Space Feng Shui

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Carrillo.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Laura. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My whole life I have been drawn to and studied Astrology, Numerology, and Feng Shui. I read about and practiced each of these more esoteric sciences with a passion. In my homes, I experimented with my environment using my personal space as a Feng Shui lab of sorts. As much as I loved these practices, I didn’t realize I could make a career of them.

It wasn’t until I moved to LA 10 years ago, that I took my then Feng Shui hobby and made it my business. My first home in LA opened a whole new chapter for me that took my life in a completely new trajectory that today I call Narrative Space http://narrativespacefengshui.com/.

My new home in my new city of LA was beautiful but it was an L shaped apartment which from a Feng Shui perspective is not ideal. A complete square or rectangle shaped home are the most auspicious as they are considered complete. My home was missing major life centers or parts of the bagua which is the energetic map in Feng Shui. That said, I believe we choose or find ourselves in specific places, for a reason. In my case, I was there to learn to De-emphasize or change the areas of my life that were missing in that home and to experience just how much our environments are a reflection of our personal narrative.

The part that was missing in the home was most prominently my career gua. Looking back, I see how I was on the wrong career path and that home took me out of it and put me on a whole new path. What can seem like misfortune can actually be a blessing. I moved here for a job and just weeks into living in my new home, I lost it and ultimately found myself.

As a result of my powerful experience and transformation with Feng Shui upon moving to LA, I went on to professionally practice Feng Shui. I studied and became certified through The Western School of Feng Shui in Form School and later became a Red Ribbon Professional through the International Feng Shui Guild. A Red Ribbon Professional credential is earned through the International Feng Shui Guild which tests practitioners on a broad range of Feng Shui Schools (of which there are many) to assure a comprehensive perspective on all schools of Feng Shui through a recognized international professional body. I not only understand and practice Form School, but incorporate and pull from other school like Black Hat, Vastu and Sacred Geometry.

I’m so grateful to have lived in that L shaped home. Even though it had imbalances, they were part of my lesson plan and a necessary chapter in my life. I now know how to help others in similar situations and I truly understand the impact of how space relates to our personal narratives and our journeys. I love helping others create scared space and maximize on the energetic potential in their environments.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been easy being an entrepreneur and starting my own practice. Everything from creating a website, to learning how to navigate social media marketing was all self-taught and with the website I eventually got help. As an entrepreneur, you have to know what your strengths are and where you need help. I also started a You Tube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/LauraCarrilloNarrativeSpace with my Feng Shui videos and you can really see the growth over the years as I’ve learned to get more comfortable in front of the camera along with new techniques for filming and editing my content. It’s a process and it takes time. I’m also on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/narrativespacefengshui/?pnref=lhc and Instagram https://www.instagram.com/narrativespacefengshui/ now where I share tips. It’s been a learning curve but it’s empowering to be able to dictate your own vision and message.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Narrative Space Feng Shui – what should we know?
I am Los Angeles, California’s Feng Shui & Space Therapy expert. My services include Feng Shui, Space Clearing, and Space Planning.

The concept of Narrative Space Feng Shui is simple; your home or business is telling a story, your story. Every object in your environment is a physical affirmation of your present situation. Feng Shui is a solution oriented practice that treats your environment as a living entity and extension of yourself. When I visit a space, I read the narrative and help you edit your story with the energetic principles of Feng Shui and the Alchemy of Space Clearing to align you with your highest good and create a positive new chapter. My work is essentially Space Therapy and I help my clients understand what their homes and businesses are communicating energetically. I then help them align that narrative with their goals and dreams. If you’re looking for that breakthrough, I got you!

I’ve been able to help clients make the space for love, a baby, and more success in life by making it a part of their physical narrative. I specialize in Space Therapy, Planning and Clearing with your physical and personal narrative in mind. I’m available for in home or virtual Feng Shui & Space Therapy Consultations Sundays through Wednesdays from 12-6pm. I also offer comprehensive design options including Furniture Selection, Procurement, Placement and Installation services in partnership with West Elm. I am their “Feng Shui Lady” and I help clients elevate their design to make it divine.
