Meet Lana Modylevskaya of FIGO in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lana Modylevskaya.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve been working in women’s fashion for years and have always noticed how much choice there is to express yourself. It is not the case with men’s fashion. Most young male professionals are extremely limited with the choices of suits and blazers. They end up compromising on style or price. That’s when my partners and I dreamed up of an ideal scenario… what if you can have both? Our menswear collection is Italian from start to finish, customizable, perfect fit, and affordable (Affordable is an understatement!).

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Most people are in shock when they find out they can have a custom suit for $450. But we’ve really worked hard to keep the price this low. It was a major challenge to leverage our unique relationships with Italian suppliers and artisans, eliminate store locations and warehouses, streamline the tailoring process, and negotiate on special deals with shipment companies. We are the only menswear company that is truly affordable luxury. Our wide range of Italian fabrics is premium and exclusive.

FIGO – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our company is all about the Italian experience. We treat anyone who walks through our West Hollywood showroom doors like a VIP and old friends. Our showroom space is held in a spacious historic Lautner home with a pool. People usually come with their friends or colleagues for a complimentary happy hour while they browse the collection. Everyone enjoys this experience. We also do one-on-one appointments that are dedicated to the client. We work with a lot of celebrities, young professionals and groomsmen for weddings.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments are when I see very happy clients walk away with something that they really love but did not expect. I love watching the first reaction when they try on a blazer that they did not expect to fall in love with. It’s a special moment!

  • Our custom Italian suits are $450
  • Our custom Italian blazers are $350
