Meet Kyron K Ward aka “KKVINCI” of oNE Music Group in Inland Empire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyron K. Ward.

Kyron, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My journey is a rather interesting one. From the time I started school, I was seen and regarded as the “Problem Child” that no teacher wanted in their class. I was always in trouble, sent home, or written up for something or another. When I entered middle school my behavior only became worse. I wasn’t allowed to rotate between classes like the other students. My work had to be sent to the Principals office and I did my work there for two whole years. Finally, during my first semester of my 8th-grade year, my English teacher had assigned us to a poetry project. That project actually changed my life.

I had found a way to release my anger and express my true feelings of frustration, emptiness and anger of not having my biological father in the home and always hearing negative things about me from other people. My poems were so vivid, full of imagery, and thought-provoking that my teacher reported me for plagiarism and thought my mother was doing my work until they gave me a topic and had me write on it in front of them. From that point on, I was entered into poetry contest (I won 1st place in a few), and my confidence grew, which changed my behavior in a positive way. I had found my outlet. Eventually, my poetry evolved into rhythmic lyrical words through music. Since I also had an ear for sound, by the end of my 8th grade year, I taught myself to engineer and edit music and had a list of high school kids wanted to record with me. Once in high school, I began to study music, music programs and equipment. By the time I was a senior in high school, my name and work began to speak for itself.

Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing was ever smooth for me. I always had struggles. Confidence in myself and also being my hardest critic was a challenge. Being that for a large part of my life, I was in a single-parent household, so money wasn’t always accessible when I wanted or needed things to begin building my brand. It was also difficult trying learning the business and who to trust.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with oNE Music Group – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I first began taking the steps to take this music business to another level around my sophomore year in high school. I began writing and recording myself in the guest room of our home (My Cousin and I named the room “Bedroom Studios”) using a Dell computer, Audacity, and Apple earplugs with the mic attached to the cord. The sound quality was never up to par and I would always get frustrated because I could capture the sound I wanted. However, my determination to and need for perfection aided in perfecting the best sound quality I was able to muster with what I had to work with. I then began to research equipment and spend time in professional studios to learn how to properly use certain equipment and perfect my craft.

By the time I was a senior in high school. I was a semi-pro at engineering and producing music. Writing music always came naturally for me. Today, I have learned to perfect my talent and still learning new things daily. I am a highly respected Music engineer with a large clientele from all over. My talents include, but are not limited to the following: Audio Engineering, Mixing and Mastering the best possible music sound quality in music, Equalization, operating mixing consoles for sound editing, utilizing recording equipment, and I have knowledge and experience with various recording soft and hardware, such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studios, etc. I also write and produce music, as well as producing videos for the music I write and engineer. I also design and create logos for businesses and companies, and I am an excellent graphic designer.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about my city is that it made me have humility and build my character. My city is small and for the most part, kept me grounded. What I dislike about my city is that it doesn’t not provide a whole lot of opportunity. You have to leave the city to get the recognition needed to move forward.
