Meet Kym Nonstop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kym Nonstop.

Known to many as “Kym Nonstop”, Kym has been a sought-after professional in the fitness industry for over a decade. As a founding instructor of SoulCycle, Kym was the first to instruct in over 25 studios in 9 different US cities. She developed the predecessor to Activate, a class called SoulBands, which was featured in Vogue and voted “Best hit-each-body-part fitness class” by New York Magazine. Kym has created original workouts for BodyBulding.com, SHAPE, Women’s Health, ICON and NordicTrack.

Her certifications include NASM personal training, MELT method, and The Tupler Technique for postnatal pelvic floor rehab. Outside of the gym, Kym is a semi-pro cyclist, competing all over the world in Track, Cyclocross, and Mountain bike. On screen, Kym was a fierce competition on the 25th season of The Amazing Race and her YouTube channel with over 136K subscribers houses vlogs, nutrition tips, and over 100 at-home workouts.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not – but mountain biking has taught me to navigate the bumpiest of roads 🙂 When I was getting started, I worked three jobs: Personal Training clients, teaching fitness classes and bike messengering on the side. All three jobs were physical. I was moving 24/7. That’s when I earned the nickname “Nonstop”. The past few years I’ve seen my biggest obstacles but also my biggest pay-offs. In 2018 the I was renting in Brooklyn was sold and I had to move again. This time I decided to choose LA for good. What followed was a cross country move, a breakup and one of the BEST cycling seasons of my career, punctuated with my worst injury: A full ACL rupture. Talk about a roller coaster. My career has had many ups and downs but every time I land on my feet and just a bit farther than the last time.
