Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle LaLone.
Kyle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was always fascinated and drawn to music since I was a very young. I started taking guitar lessons when I was 9 years old, started my own band when I was 12, and participated in all the music programs I could at my high school. After high school I attended Berklee College of Music on scholarship and have been a working musician since then. I have been fortunate to perform and record with a bunch of very talented folks in many different genres. Currently, I play with my own trio that performs an instrumental mix of rock, blues, country, and soul music. Along with that I play guitar with several other Los Angeles based artists, do one-off freelance gigs, and teach lesson for a few different companies.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would compare being a working musician to driving on a very long, windy road up a mountain. It is unlike many other careers in that there is not really a set path, the schedule varies a great deal, and the experience is different for almost everyone. There are times when I am extremely busy and am barely able to keep up with the amount of music I need to have prepared and other times when its slow and I’m chomping at the bit for perform. Along with that the music business has gone through a serious overhaul in the last 10 years due to streaming services such as Spotify. That being said, I feel very lucky that I get to do what I love for a living and can’t imagine doing anything else.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Kyle LaLone Music – what should we know?

I have played 100s of shows, played on many recording sessions, and taught students of all ages and levels of ability.
