Meet Kyle Cox and Dr. Kerry Cox of TCG Footwear in West Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Cox and Dr. Kerry Cox.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Born as Thorocraft in 2009 and rebranded as T C G® in 2015. In 2018, my dad Dr. Kerry Cox and I acquired TCG Footwear based on the brand and the booming growth in the athleisure shoe market.

TCG Footwear shoes are sold globally and are one of the few leather shoe retailers making sure customers enjoy handcrafted luxury with minimalistic styling adding to the brand’s cache.

TCG® stands for Thoroughly Crafted Goods and offers uncompromising quality, craftsmanship and style to the booming athleisure trend that draws upon a diverse consumer base. Although the high-fashion-meets -street-wear take on athletic wear is far from new; what makes TCG Footwear stand out is its favorable pricing and a design aesthetic that creates the fusion between fashion and sports. The brand design uses a minimalist/retro-futuristic approach to its styles.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Any new undertaking has its struggles, however, because the TCG Footwear brand has such a great reputation and a loyal customer base, it allows us to focus our attention on maintaining brand excellence and growth. Our challenge is to increase our customer base and make the TCG brand a household name.

Please tell us about TCG Footwear.
TCG FOOTWEAR is a leading shoe retailer featuring captivating and stylish shoes and accessories for men. Founded in 2009 by Gianpaolo Altomari as Thorocraft, the brand was renamed T C G® in 2015 and acquired by Kerry and Kyle Cox in 2018.

Our commitment to providing our customers with impeccable service—unparalleled quality, traditional craftsmanship, and distinctive styles is what sets us apart from others.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Because we acquired an existing business we were fortunate in that we were able to prepare and develop a roadmap as a guide for TCG Footwear’s’ growth and brand recognition.
