Meet Kelly Arnold of Kell Tells

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Arnold.

Kelly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a 23 years female-owned business called Kell Tells.

I am a California Native and went to Azusa Pacific University and studied Communication with a minor in Public Relations.

Ever since I was little, I had businesses, whether it was a lemonade stand, dog walking and sitting, or fake stores I would force my parents to “shop at”. But I always loved the idea of being a business owner, I feel like it was in my blood. So as I grew up, I would create businesses all the time, sometimes buy domains but not fully invest into it. But then in 2019, I decided to create a business that I would put money, time, effort, and all the resources I had into which was not much since I was a struggling college grad with my first “big girl” job. But despite all of that Kell Tells was born.

The original idea was a place and eventual community.

This has always been the plan. So aligning with that philosophy, being a female-owned business who is women-centered focused on empowerment through events and advice. We then wanted to add products that not only helped with events but also empowered women. So we launched Kell Tells; The Shop in early August 2020.

We still have tons of ideas and goals where we see Kell Tells can go and hopefully will go but if we can just empower some women or help them with an event through advice or just spread a little bit of joy in this world, then we have done our jobs!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Owning a business is not for the faint of heart to begin with. But I decided to start my business the year of COVID-19 which was an interesting choice to say the least but it has taught a lot about pivoting my business and how to get through struggles and make content that will encourage people and stay up to date with what is happening.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kell Tells story. Tell us more about the business.
Kell Tells was started because I believe in building other women up in business, community, and everyday life. The best way I see community lived out is through events. Events are some of the most important aspects of our lives. Events can be memories that last a lifetime with some of the most important people alongside us. But even though these events are memorable planning them alone can be a pain in the butt! (Can I get an amen!?)

Sometimes you just want to talk to your BFF to get some help, ideas and lift that stress off of you a litttttlleeee bit. That’s where ya girl comes in. This is THE PLACE to go for advice on events, life, and all things women. After all, we weren’t meant to go through this alone!

We aren’t just a place for information on weddings, or birthdays or any events you can think of. We are a community for women that goes through not only event with you, but life.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t think luck has anything to do with it. I think it is hard work, hustle, advice, and also some help along the way.
