Meet Kayleigh Christina Clark

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayleigh Christina Clark.

Kayleigh Christina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I moved out to California 4 years ago with my husband Matt. Prior to that we were living in Cleveland and I was working in professional sports. I was at an all-time low health wise. Coming from a stressful job I had forgotten to take care of myself. In 1 year I had been in and out of the hospital for stomach ulcers, a herniated disk, chronic stress, fatigue, and inflammation. When we moved out to California I started a job that had me traveling a lot. This only increased the inflammation, altered my sleeping habits, and because I was eating on the road so much I started having severe digestive issues.

It seemed as though I couldn’t go a few weeks without having to see a doctor with no explanation as to why I was drastically losing weight, breaking out with cystic acne, and why everything I ate made me feel sick. It wasn’t until I found a holistic doctor that my questions were answered. I had lost sight of my own wellbeing. I wasn’t getting enough sleep, my organs were inflamed, hormones were out of balance, and I had an autoimmune disease that certain foods were triggering.

As I began to heal, people started reaching out to me with their own health concerns and looking for ways to eat healthier, exercise, and just feel better! That’s when I started my Healthy Lifestyle Blog I wanted to provide a place where I could answer people’s questions and provide actionable steps, recipes, exercises, and daily tips so they could make to improve their own lives. Then people began asking if I could work with them one-on-one. So I went back to school and studied Holistic Nutrition so I could do just that!

Another big aspect of healing was my skin. As a consequence of all my health issues I was overcoming, my skin was a wreck. I was covered in cystic acne and felt ashamed to even look in the mirror. That’s when I met my now business partner in CLEARstem Skincare, Danielle Gronich, owner of San Diego Acne Clinic. She taught me about the science of skincare and how it effects our body. Best of all she cured my skin! Danielle made sure I didn’t scar and left me with a glowing complexion! She was in the beginning stages of developing CLEARstem, and Anti-Acne and Anti-Aging line of skincare with SUPER clean ingredients utilizing Eastern Chinese Medicine and modern technology and a few months later I jumped on board on the operations and marketing side to help bring the CLEARstem to the market!

I am so grateful for the many opportunities I’ve been able to take advantage of because of what I have been through. I now work with individuals on improving their own health, create content for my blog and Instagram, co-host the Balancing Your Hustle Podcast, and grow with an amazing team at CLEARstem Skincare.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road! I am challenged daily with finding time. Time for myself, my clients, creating content, working with brands, recording my podcast, running CLEARstem. The to-do lists never end! But that’s part of life. I love everything that I do and I wouldn’t give anything up. The road blocks and challenges are just a new way for me to grow and provide a new perspective. I am so thankful every single day that my husband Matt is by my side for every step of this journey. When I am feeling down because of struggles he is right next to me encouraging me and reminding me of the impact I make.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The first is my blog, and Instagram. Through both of these I can reach a large audience to provide real-life ways to live a healthier life. I focus on things like nutrition, exercise and movement, yoga, taking time for self-care, traveling, and relationships. Life can sometimes feel all over the place and I find such joy in being that positive light and motivation to others. I love getting to work with brands who are truly changing the way we think about nutrition & fitness, meeting amazing people, and shooting for awesome activewear companies.

The second part is my clients. They have changed my life in so many ways! Getting to hear people’s stories, goals, and aspirations, then help them get on the path to success in incredible. I work with them to create small changes to their lives to form habits. Once those habits are formed we bring in new changes. That way living a healthy lifestyle isn’t so overwhelming. Small steps lead to big results!

Lastly CLEARstem. I am so proud of our growth in the past few months! We are one of the top selling products on Amazon for scar reversal and continue to grow. We have formulated our skincare serum with honesty and proven science. We only use ingredients that are proven to work, we don’t cut costs to make the product cheaper, and we believe in using the highest quality ingredients. Our goal is to first and foremost educate. We want consumers to be educated on what they are putting on their bodies because the littlest things can affect hormones and speed up the aging process. There is truly nothing like our serum on the market.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly…nothing. There are so many things I could say “what if I did this” or “what if I started a few more years ago” but I wouldn’t have the experience or perspective that I do now. I truly believe that timing and experiences shape who you are and the decisions you make. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without everything I have gone through.
