Meet Kay Tourelle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kay Tourelle.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, I grew up in Minnesota where I’ve always had a passion for creating, modeling, and collaborating with other brands. Along with me already having the creative background growing up, I started my modeling career in 2017. I had to find and meet with different photographers and other creators that had the same passion, drive, and vision as I had. Frequently, I flew to Los Angeles and other major cities to complete bookings. Less than a year ago, I decided to officially move to California to take my career to the next level. I am happy to be an LA based model & brand ambassador, I’ve also worked with multiple major brands ranging from beauty, swimwear, and activewear. You can also catch me in major music videos.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall I would say it has been an easy path, but I did face a few challenges that I’ve had to overcome. I’ve always been a hard-worker, especially when it comes to doing something that I love, so I make sure that I don’t overwork myself. I’ve learned that creating a schedule is key especially when you’re always on the go. Most of my bookings have been through social media, so being able to recognize if a brand is legit to work with or not is something I’ve learned to discern as well.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love what I do because I get the opportunity to visit amazing places and meet people who love to create just like me. Besides being a model and brand ambassador, ever since moving to California, I’ve been heavily in my entrepreneur bag to generate more income. I hit a new milestone in my life by becoming a Life Insurance Agent as I recently acquired my license. I love being able to help individuals and families get the coverage that they need to protect themselves.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
A characteristic of mine I would give the most credit to is my drive. I admire that I’m always determined to accomplish goals. I always find ways to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone. I’m always thinking ahead and once I set my mind on something, I know I can achieve it.
