Meet Karly Spalding of Karly Spalding Photography in Redondo Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karly Spalding.

Karly, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When my children were born I began photographing them and soon was being asked by family and friends to take photos. From there I took a few workshops and began working professionally.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Rebuilding my client base when I moved from Denver to Los Angeles was probably the biggest bump in the road but overall, it’s been a winding and interesting journey.

Karly Spalding Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I specialize in newborn, maternity and family photography. My photography can be considered ‘lifestyle’ in that it focuses on real moments with limited posing.

I work to create a relaxed atmosphere and effortless experience. I want kids to leave happy and capture beautiful moments of families being themselves. With newborns, I aim to capture the baby in their natural environment with parents and siblings.
