Today we’d like to introduce you to Karine Zargaryan.
Karine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had a passion for flowers and nature. Prior to starting Kara Z Floral, I would create florals as a hobby for family and friends and as a creative outlet. I decided to take a leap of faith after many years of friends and family suggesting that I seriously consider pursuing my passion. I started Kara Z Floral Design studio about 2 1/2 years ago and we have been growing ever since. We are grateful for the unwavering support from our friends, family, and clients that have become family.
Has it been a smooth road?
I always like to be optimistic about things and also have realistic expectations. I can frankly say that there are days where it’s a lot to manage a business, continue to have a social presence, grow our clientele and be creative all at the same time. On the flip side, there are days where it seems like things flow naturally and you realize all the hard work and long hours are all worth it.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kara Z Floral Design story. Tell us more about the business.
Kara Z Floral Design was started a little over 2 1/2 years ago, that making us fairly new to the floral industry, but in the short amount of time we have been able to grow our clientele and that is something we are very proud of. We are known for effortless and natural-looking design where we use neutrals and colors to create a unique look and ambiance for our clients. We are most proud of our detail-oriented customer service. We focus on making the process easy for clients whether they are ordering an arrangement or putting together an event. Consistent communication has been key to making sure our clients feel confident in our service and our ability to deliver beautiful design.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Given our current situation with COVID-19, we have seen a trend in more intimate gatherings and more attention to details where is in the past, it was about bigger is better and over scale arrangements. I think the change is welcomed in the industry as it gives perspective to what really matters. It also allows the floral professional to focus on more of the details of the event to create a whole look and feel that is sure to please our clients and to create a look for their guests that makes them feel welcome right when they enter. We also see an increase in individual floral arrangement orders as many people are not visiting their loved ones and practicing social distancing. It is a way for our clients to stay connected and to celebrate life’s big milestones safely.
