Meet Kallie Rock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kallie Rock.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kallie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
So it’s pretty crazy my initial start in music was when I was ten years old. My mom was dating a guy named Kaymont and he was a rapper. I’ll never forget we were in the car driving to drop him off to meet his friend at the Kangaroo gas station in Lake Mary, FL and as he got out of the car, he said I want you to meet someone. As the other person approached the car it was Krayzie Bone from Bone thugs and Harmony. I remember shaking his hand and them saying we love your talking voice and want to bring you into the studio to do a record. I remember sister being so mad like I want to go and they were like no just me this time. So, I got out of the car and went and I still remember the rap till this day. Pretty cool right.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say in this industry there are always struggles. It’s tough, it’s not easy but you just have to stay true to who you are and focus on what you can control. Things will start to fall into place.

Please tell us about your music.
I am a singer, I’m most proud of me for sticking it out, and never giving up. I am always perfecting my craft and asking how I can be better and working towards that, what sets me apart is my unique voice it’s not like many others at all, I take pride in that and again always working on how I can be better. I am known for my singing and songwriting!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite moment from my childhood was by far winning the state championship in basketball for The Lake Mary High school. We were also the first public high school team to be invited to the ESPN McDonald’s high school invitational! We were good I mean really good!
