Meet Juston Kace of Kace Klosed in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juston Kace.

Juston, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Music has always been a part of my life. But in 2006 is when I first fell in love with the art of creating. I was 12 years old the summer before starting Junior High the first time I heard of an artist named Soulja Boy. I remember hearing his song “Stop then Snap” then later that evening coming across the dance on Myspace.

It was revolutionary, at that time Social Media and YouTube Videos were still new but at that moment, I fell in love with the art, presentation, and entertainment that comes with music. I spent the whole next year creating music, dances, and videos of my own. I started a group in Minnesota with my two best friends called “Dem 360 Boyz” and we would throw party’s to perform at. The next summer my older sister was turning 16 and begged my mom to death to let her have a sweet sixteen. After multiple failed attempts, my mom finally caved in and when I heard the news, my next mission was convincing my sister to let me perform at her party. If you have siblings, you know that no 15-year-old girl is going to let her at that time 13-year-old brother perform at her birthday in front of her friends, so I came up with another idea. How about Soulja Boy? I contacted his manager Miami Mike via Myspace He signed with Interscope Records the same week of the party and “Crank That” was well on its way to becoming the number 1 song out at the time. Luckily for me, I reached out a few months before he signed so it was still affordable. I manifested that whole year of my life from being 12 one summer and seeing someone market music online for the first time to the next summer standing shoulder to shoulder next to them. I was only 13 years old and just booked one of the biggest artists in the world. That was the start, once I had that moment it was instilled in my heart and I never really looked back from there.

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not always been a smooth path. I always tell people the life of an artist is a true roller coaster. When the things are going well, life feels ten times better than the average person’s good day and when things are rough. Life feels ten times worse than the average person’s bad day. Some of my most difficult challenges have been trying to find a team of people who are as passionate and dedicated as I am about the craft and not the perks. People will tell you all the time that you need a team, but you can’t just go down to 24hr Fitness, choose five guys playing pick up, and then go take on the Lakers. You have to have a team of the RIGHT people to succeed. And that takes time to find. Most people are looking for shortcuts, so in the meantime, I try to learn and do as much as I can myself. I think that has been the most challenging for me.

Please tell us about Kace Klosed.
My company name is Kace Klosed Entertainment. We specialize in everything from Casting, Music Production, Video Editing, Photography, Content Creating, Event Planning and Clothing Design. We have been most known for our music videos and casting social media stars India Love and Jena Frumes. Out videos have accumulative over 5 million vies online, so for an independent company that is something I am pretty proud of. I think what sets our company apart from others is independency. We really use groundwork to network with other talent and individuals to help create a real work relationship with them and not just using people for the likeness of their name at the moment. That has helped us create a strong network.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I plan on making Kace Klosed one of the top writing companies in the entertainment industry. Not only within music but short films, movies, television shows, and books. I am already in the works with other talented writers and publishing companies to see this idea through and I can’t wait to be able to share it with the public in the next few years.
