Today we’d like to introduce you to Jovonny “I AM JOEY” Holloway.

Jovonny “I AM JOEY”, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in South Central L.A. A late 80s baby… In the beginning, I had my sights set on conquering the “Rap world” HipHop, but as I got older, my ambitions grew. When I look at what hip hop has become, I had to ask myself, was this still a dream worth dreaming? The answer was no! Emphatically NO! So after some soul searching, I ended up full circle to my first love, movies.

I began to write, direct and produce my own content as well as quality content for others. I have toured with lost of household names such as; Jay-Z, T.i, Jeezy, Grammy award-winning super band 100 or nothin, and the list goes on. Look for me in my upcoming film “Dirty Cops L.A.” starring myself, Comedy Centrals Slink Johnson, comedian D Lai’, G.Wells and AllDef Digitals Cynthia Luciette. The film is a going to be a cult classic.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has this been a smooth road? No, I can honestly say it hasn’t. However, I have been extremely blessed along the way as well. I take the good with the bad. There is only one struggle, and that’s to remain focus while the village is burning so to speak.

Please tell us about Dirty Cops L.A. The Movie.
Dirty Cops L.A. set in the fictional 77th Precinct of the Los Angeles Police Department, The story follows two Detectives that play by a different set of rules. Det. Jackson an ex-Hustler turned cop has never seen a line that he wasn’t willing to cross. Accompanied by his partner Det. Johnson, ex-Gang member turned shady Do-Gooder, the two bring a new meaning to the phrase “Boys In Blue”. Although Jack & Johnson are normally pre-Occupied with robbing and assaulting the city’s criminal element, they also make time to close a few cases along the way. The City is been taken over by an outsider known as “EL Jefe”, a Mexican drug lord that has decided to make L.A his new home. Jackson & Johnson plan on helping him get “settled in”. Dirty Cops, Will Smith & Martin Lawrence’s Bad Boys meets NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The Hilariously funny ensemble cast keeps the viewer laughing and guessing. The precinct also includes a sassy and clever desk Sgt. (Sgt. Rawlings), an Old School “Crooked” Police Captain (Capt. Davis) and a few other Detectives that are collectively L.A’s Finest “Dirty Cops”.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe one of my best characteristics would be my ability to connect with people. I can go from first meeting to your best friend very easily.
