Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Williams.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Josh. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, I’ve always been a visually stimulated person. Whether it was watching movies, drawing, etc. The idea of photography, being that you can stop a moment of time that was once in motion is what drew me closer to it. Also, I was never much of a reader, and the books/magazines I got: I realized I got them for the photos. I got my first camera when I was maybe 13/14 and from then on it was uphill!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Something I’ve noticed along the way is that most artists of any kind have something in common. Mental health issues, specifically anxiety/depression. A huge obstacle/ challenge is when we cant create(for any reason that is), it takes a harder toll on us than on someone who doesn’t struggle with mental health.
Josh Williams Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m mainly a natural portrait photographer. Specializing in attention to detail using natural light. A lot of my clients tell me that my work shows realism and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personally, success to me is constancy. Constantly working, constantly moving.
