Meet Jose and Nayeli Cardenas of Milestones of Love in Downey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose and Nayeli Cardenas.

Jose had been working for 6 years in a production company when Nayeli took a wardrobe styling job at the same company. They met, fell in love, and got married.

Milestones of love started in 2014 when Jose decided to quit his job to pursue their own business. They wanted to bring high-end production quality photography and videography to the wedding industry. After starting their wedding business Nayeli was asked to plan a destination wedding for a client, which led her to fall in love with wedding planning/coordinating.

Fast forward to today, they are parents now and enjoy working as a team, even more, they absolutely love capturing weddings, each wedding is like a date night for them!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As husband/wife, parents, and business owners there have been so many obstacles and challenges that have come our way but we like to focus on the lesson and positivity from each experience.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We specialize in filming/editing. We are best known for our wedding films, each wedding we are a part of is a journey. The close way in which we work with our couples provides them the ultimate result of our work as a whole story of their love unfolding on their wedding day. Our specialized way of editing film takes you through the journey more like a roller coaster of emotions, keeping you at the edge of your seat at all times!

Earlier this year we’ve branched outside the wedding industry and went back to our roots of creating effective brand marketing photography/video.

Our proudest moment was when we were contacted by Be Inspired a PR + Social Media Agency for wedding, wellness & lifestyle clients. They said we were highly recommended to them, hearing that people appreciate our work that is worth more than anything.

What were you like growing up?
Jose was a shy bucktooth kid, who saved all his money from his gardening job to buy his first computer at the age of 14. Jose is the jack of all trades when it comes to technology.

Nayeli has always loved learning, she’s taken courses in floristry, cake decorating, cosmetology, event catering, and so much more. Growing up she had a wide range of jobs from the medical field, restaurant hospitality, retail, childcare, print/film production.
