Meet Jordan Van Clief of #ToothFairies in Mid City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Van Clief.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jordan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started being funny when I was 21 or at least, that was the first time a professional told me I was funny and not just weird. I ran with that and moved to LA to become what is known as an actor. I really wanted to perform, and like many adept actors, I started creating my own work. I wrote a web series to become SAG-E. It was cute, it was amateur, but I loved it. As soon as it finished, I went back to work. I’ve since created a handful of wonderful and more-polished projects.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Oh God no, when is there ever smooth sailing? I still feel like my career is stuck, meaning, I can’t get an agent to get me into the room to the auditions for film and television. I’ve had countless agents and managers, still nothing. That’s why I continue to create my own work, to keep busy and it’s super fun.

#ToothFairies – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
#ToothFairies is an absurd comedy, think The Office meets actual Tooth Fairies. It’s been such a blast to create this new world where not only Tooth Fairies are real, but they are bitter, overworked and very human.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is personal and I think that’s why I’ve been able to enjoy LA so much. No, I’m not some famous star, nor am I even the star of a McDonald’s commercial, but being able to star in my own work has been incredibly gratifying.
