Meet Joline and Celine Nehoray of Beverly Hills Lingerie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joline and Celine Nehoray.

Joline and Celine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
J: Discovering the evident gap in the streetwear lingerie industry, my sister and I decided to fill this gap. Our niche and trademarked tagline is lingerie for a night in… or a night out.

We believed in not only the concept and idea but ultimately believed in our relationship, trust, ambition, strength, and passion to make this happen. You could have a million dollar idea but not a million dollar mindset (or business partner, etc.) and you’d hit a wall. We persevere through obstacles and remain strong and really matured our professional relationship while growing the business. We put our minds together to combine years of experience, resources, and tools to get where we are now.

C: We began building the foundation of our brand a little under two years ago, and went live last fall! We landed in the top 4% of Shopify stores that launched within the same time period as us and we are so grateful for all the support thus far. I mean it when I say: none of this would have been possible without the dedicated commitment my sister and I have had to each other, our relationship, and to our mutual vision of taking our brand global.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
J: I say this to everyone who asks – if you don’t have some road bumps along the way, you’re doing something wrong, not testing your market/audience enough, or you’re not taking the appropriate risks. Of course, our sisterhood and close sibling relationship could get in the way of business, but at the end of the day, we believe in ourselves too much to let it intervene. You do have to struggle a bit to get where you want, and entrepreneurship is not a straight line. It is absolutely not a constant and steady incline, and I feel like this is a very misconstrued conception of building your own business.

C: No good things come easy, and all great things take time and dedication. It’s safe to say it hasn’t been a smooth road, but our brand wouldn’t have the impact it has today without all the little road bumps we had to overcome. Some past struggles include photoshoots not going as planned, trouble finding the right hires, and of course the uncontrollable mishaps like USPS misplacing packages, models not following guidelines, etc.

Beverly Hills Lingerie – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Beverly Hills Lingerie is lingerie for a night in… or a night out. Our niche is streetwear lingerie. We specialize in creating affordable luxury for all women alike. We are known for our trendy streetwear lingerie tops, that customers all around the world have been strutting as outerwear.

We are proud to be the first brand to identify directly as a streetwear lingerie brand. We are proud to have higher than average conversion rates, a 0% attempted returns rate, and a high loyal customer repeat rate. We have grown rapidly on Instagram as well, the main source of our customer base and advertising platform.

What truly sets us apart other than our streetwear lingerie niche, is our product quality, free shipping option, our free panty with purchase deals, our live chat, our $10 flat international shipping option, and our timely restock time.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
J: Besides the $ side of success, I truly believe any individual can and should define their own success. Whether it be genuine happiness and joy, feeling at peace with yourself, hitting the “green” in your business than calling it quits, living the bare minimum life – it is up to you. Personally, I’d, of course, be quite happy when our brand goes into global distribution/wholesale and we are doing better than our competitors.

This is on my list of long term goals for the company. I just can’t put a number on success because it is only relative to where the business started, hitting daily, monthly, yearly goals versus lasts, but also to your industry and field so while comparing yourself to your old self, I’d also compare to competitors. I also wouldn’t put a number on success because numbers don’t define you, so if one’s “success” is in their bank account, they’re leading a poor life.

C: To me, success means day to day happiness, peace of mind, and fulfillment. Success to me is a day where I’ve made an impact in someone’s life, taught someone something new, generated change, conquered my “to-do list” as a co-founder, and of course, spent time with my loved ones. Success to me is much more than just generating profit and going global with a lifestyle brand: it’s enjoying the ride along the way and creating a life where my today is more exciting than my yesterday.
