Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Wright.
Jessica, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Growing up in Southern Utah my appreciation for nature and botanicals inspired me to find a career where I could travel while surrounding myself with beauty. After high school, I went to San Francisco to pursue Aesthetics and train through the CIDESCO program. It is the most prestigious qualification that can be obtained in the beauty realm. This elite training offers extensive knowledge in skincare, body massage, product ingredients and nutrition. It combines a whole body approach to wellness. It is recognized in 40 countries around the world. This provided me a great education that allowed to me work in a variety of settings from nail salons, hair salons, skin studios, day spas, medical spas, and wellness centers. I was able to work in San Francisco, New York City, and Los Angeles. I have learned from experience both good and bad. I excel in this field due to my nurturing nature. With 15 years of experience, I am able to run my own business with the best treatments, products and machines to meet my high standard of care. At Blue J Skincare, I provide my clients effective relaxing services with knowledge to meet their skincare goals.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In any business there are ups and downs. One of the biggest challenges I had was in the beginning of my career in 2003. I opened my own business in a shared space in San Francisco. After a few months of being open I received a call that our building was on fire caused by faulty wiring. Everything in our treatment room was ruined and a big lesson had been learned. Although the accident may have delayed my ambitions for having my own space, it gave me the opportunity to learn and grow in every aspect of the Aesthetic world.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Blue J Skincare – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Human contact is an important element of a great treatment! A good touch is something that can’t be taught. I have a calming presence and touch that help clients relax, which transports them out of their daily stresses. I care about my relationship with my clients; I’m down to earth and easy to talk to. Clean skin is just as important as relaxation. Every pore will be accounted for. By using different massage techniques, product and machines anti- aging results will be achieved.
I use/stock wild crafted organic skincare, Monastery and ISUN organics. The aromatherapy of the products will send your senses on holiday. I only apply high quality, safe ingredients that provide the best results for each individual. I use science when needed in peels and machinery. I work with diamond tip microdermabrasion, oxygen infusion, ultrasonic spatula, and LED light therapy. I provide a professional treatment customized to each individual.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I feel my business is in my own hands (literally). In life, different situations, circumstances and opportunities can arise. Even when things are going well, it is up to you to improve by finding ways to learn and grow. I will be opening my own studio in a brand-new building that will be finished in August 2017. I will be able to offer my clients a variety of appointment times to best fit their needs and schedules.
