Meet Jennifer Amodei of Amodei in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Amodei.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jennifer. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
At age 18 I took trip to Paris, for the first time leaving the United States and all that was familiar to me.

There’s passion for design, art, architecture, the theater bloomed. I spent many years back and forth from Europe learning and growing my sense of self and style.

I started my own design firm and I have loved every minute of it. I work all over the world and never know where it will take me.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As an artist in any field, it is always difficult to put a price on our service, as the very idea sets a value of our sense of self. Which takes time to develop and feel confident to offer the world. But I have found, if you are willing to start small, stay humble and work your way up, you will make it to where you want to go.

I have also worked in the field of entrainment for many years, styling, managing, art direction. At one point I was working with the manager Rick Marcelli who launched David Copperfield’s career. He told me once “Do something every day big or small that moves your career in the right direction.” His advice, I refer back too many times on my professional path.

Amodei – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I own an Interior Design firm that specializes in Old World meets New World design. I love to get a sense of the history of a project and a deeper understanding of my clients that are going to live there and make sure it accurately reflects both.

I think what sets my designs apart is my strong theater back round. Having worked in entertainment, I understand that design is about setting the stage to someone’s life. It’s the back drop to their story and it must reflect them and their perception so they can be inspired and motivated by their environment.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Balance. We need to find time to feed every part of ourselves. Our spiritual life, our family life, our business ventures and our physical wellbeing are intertwined. If we don’t tend to each category fully, we spin out of control.

For me, when I feel an over whelming sense of peace and confidence, I can see how that reflects in every aspect of my life and that to me is success.
