Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeison Azali.
Jeison, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started because I wanted a bracelet of Mala beads and couldn’t find one that fit. That was about ten years ago. I then decided to make one for myself and it all started from there. I made a few using Mala beads and different stones and people started asking me where they could get one. I then went into production. I started making all sorts of bracelets using gems and Mala beads. Eventually, I had such an inventory that I set up a website and hosted a few successful pop-up events. I now have over 100 styles of bracelets and necklaces. I paint as well, so there will be paintings available on the website.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The main struggle is building an audience and getting seen. Once they see the product, they love it and purchase. I’ve noticed that pop up events do very well. The website is still growing its customer base.
Please tell us about A King’s Design.
I make jewelry for both men and women. Mostly bracelets made out of mala beads and gemstones. I also make necklaces using gold and silver with pendants. I would say I’m known for my bracelets. I’m most proud of the fact that I got this business started and am seeing success in the first year. I think what sets me apart from others is the fact that I offer a large variety and cater to both men and women.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I’ve learned that perseverance and good business savvy will get you far in life.
