Meet Jc Honeyman in San Diego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jc Honeyman.

Jc, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in music all my life my parents would both be singing or playing an instruments & it came natural to all of us children! I grew up in a family of 11 kids & 13 including the parents so we’ve got a pretty big family. I played music all through middle and high school I was drummer in concert band I played a full drum set during the football & basketball games they called it Pep band. The first time I knew I was gonna be a singer for the rest of my life was my 2007 high school graduation I had written a song for our class and performed it in front of 800 people it was such a rush I made a lot of people cry and I knew from there this is what I was born to do. After that I had lived in Nashville with my older brother was working the originals then moved to California mainly San Diego to pursue the cover song scene! I am now able to live off of music & have so much fun doing it I will still play my originals they are all available on Spotify and other streaming platforms. But right now I’m focusing on mastering cover music and stepping up my level in the music business!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never smooth life will always throw challenges at you no matter what & I’m just happy I get to do what I love while life is a struggle. Some struggles are just working your tail off and feeling like you haven’t accomplished anything. Sometimes when I play I feel like people don’t appreciate the music or even listen and that gets discouraging. It’s hard to put out any of my original music because I want it to be recorded professionally but it costs lots of money to do it that way so I struggle with putting out my originals. But all in all I love the grind and life would be bland without struggles and hardships.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Jc Honeyman – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a full time singer/entertainer/musician I play an average of 4 shows a week all over southern California mainly in San Diego & Orange County. I play private events, bars, restaurants, fundraisers, house concerts, and the list goes on. I’m proud of the work that I’ve put in and the talent that I bring to the table. I know a lot of different variety of music I can play any style of music and I think that’s what sets me apart.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan is to keep doing what I’m doing just elevate it and I also wanna start opening up at concerts for bigger artists & eventually travel the world doing what I love! I’ve also had a huge goal of getting my original music on a movie, TV show, or even a commercial! So many big plans I could go on and on.
