Meet Jazzston “Jazz Will” Williams of Jazz Will Shoot It in Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazzston Williams.

Jazzston, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Objectively speaking, my story is so unbelievable that I often say to myself, “I’ve lived a wild, crazy life!.” I’ve played basketball both collegiately (Southern University) and professionally (The Harlem Globetrotters).

I have a degree in Finance mainly due to the fact that I’m a money and numbers guy. I mean, the list goes on and on, but ultimately, I’ve landed within this creative space in film and music! Honestly speaking, I’m not surprised at all. If you’re blessed to live life long enough, it will always come full circle. For me, my first memories are me being creative in some way whether it be singing, rapping, playing instruments, writing poetry, recording to VHS, etc. Creating was my first love before sports, namely basketball took precedence. Even though I’m extremely grateful for what the game of basketball has given me to this point, it was clear to me where my imprint will be left upon this earth. My decision to hang my sneakers up and focus on what really feeds my soul- writing, filming, etc.- was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make. That one decision would also prove to be my greatest leap into my destiny.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road has definitely been bumpy, full of steep up-hill climbs, and discouraging times. The only thing that has kept me sane in the midst of it all is my belief in God and my purpose. Being an entrepreneur in today’s music and film industry has forced me to be more innovative and assertive in order to create opportunities for myself. With each new advancement in technology, the barrier of entry gets less and less strict, i.e., the market is over-saturated. How do I cut through the massive crowd of fellow entrepreneurs and stand out? The answer: be of service with my creative ideas, and not just being a body with a cool piece of equipment. My mind is what separates me from everyone else. The way I conceptualize mixed with my genuine love and kindness for people has proven to be my “secret” to success.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Jazz Will Shoot It – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am the Founder-CEO of Jazz Will Shoot It, LLC-a global production company that specializes in providing creative film and photography solutions to individuals and companies alike. I’ve had the pleasure of filming weddings, music videos, documentaries, vlogs, commercial content, etc. Basically, if there’s a need to bring a concept to life visually, Jazz Will Shoot It takes pride in its ideation and execution. I also have my own music publishing company and record label, Will The World Music and Will The World Entertainment, respectively, that allows me to create original music for all of my projects if/when needed. The fact that literally any and everything creative can be accomplished under one home, one umbrella is what sets me and my business apart from others in this similar space. That’s what I pride myself on. It’s also of great benefit to those I service as well because there is no middle man. There aren’t “too many chefs in the kitchen.” Intimate reliability is what I like to call it. It’s a beautiful thing.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
First thing that comes to mind, the weather! That may be the most obvious answer lol. To think that I oftentimes forget that we’re in the winter season is crazy when you think about it-77 degrees in February is nice. I’ve been spoiled over the last 4-5 years since moving from Houston. I love the hometown, but I think it’s safe to say that the humidity and heat index there hits a little different lol. The weather attempts to make up for the horrendous traffic out here. Literally, something can be 4 miles away, but I may not make it there within 45 minutes. That’s insanity at it’s finest.
