Meet Jay, Jonathan and George Attia of Liquorland in Covina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay, Jonathan and George Attia.

Jay, Jonathan and George, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Family owned business since 1990, it is a real liquor store.

We carry large selection of craft beers, rare brands of spirits such as tequilas, vodkas, whiskies, scotches & more, a variety of wines and many specialty items.

We sell Cold Kegs and fill up CO2 tanks, also rent Jocky Boxes. Also, we are a big Lotto and lottery store, currently working to update our website hoping to have it up & running soon.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Just like all other industries, our stores are no exception to the changes and new rules that affected businesses in the US and the state of California. The huge cigarette taxes, the minimum wage increase, new banking regulations the corporates/distributors control and greed, the effect of the technology.

Thankfully we survived some and still working on others.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Liquorland story. Tell us more about the business.
I manage all in the store along with 2 employees I’m lucky to have both of my sons helping run the store now, and trying to take the store to a new level in using the social media and other avenues to promote the store.

what makes us different than any other store is the friendly service that we have, the store (one out 6 stores in California) sold the super lotto jackpot twice, family-run stores always have better communication with their customers,

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
This is a very lucky store, having been one out of six stores in California to sell the super lotto jackpot twice.
