Meet Javonte Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Javonte Rose.

Hi Javonte, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Many of you know me as Javonte Rose. I also like to go by BLU. I’ve always been a creative since a young age. I love fashion and putting different pieces together. In high school, I’ve won best dressed, so you know I’ve started young. What got me to where I am today was my strength and ambition. At a young age, I’ve always told myself I’m going to be something bigger and better then my childhood and I never gave that up. As a child, my life has taken many turns. Growing up, I was bullied about my looks, my style, and overall demeanor. Where some young people find respite at home, that was not the case with myself. I had a very difficult relationship with my mother that led to me being homeless at 15. Since the age of 16, I’ve worked to support myself and in spite of the enormity of my circumstances, graduated from high school six months early at 17. A very grateful and humble thing. I credit my success to the warmth of good friends and my faith. “I knew God was with me, and I vowed to never give up because I knew He heard – and hears – my prayers.” In 2016 I started a movement for Anti-Bullying and Self – Love Called ( IM HERE! ) it’s to stand up for yourself, be bold, be you. I was featured in my first magazine with Bold Favor Magazine featured outside of Atlanta. Shortly after that, I wrote my first book called BEHIND THE BLUE EYES IM HERE! Shares and tells my story of what I went through and how I overcame those situations. Motivating and inspiring others to never give up. In that same year, I started my own company THE BLU ROZE, that’s where I sell my merch and my book.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve learned at a very young age that life is all about obstacles. It’s teaching you a lesson for the brighter future. If you can ride that obstacles, stay on and get off at the end, you a strong person. Life is to teach you to be strong.

I’ve always learned to treat people how you would want to be treated and be yourself. I want to the world to know that no matter what you got going on, there’s a light at every tunnel. Never give, stay strong and keep your head held high.

Follow my movement #imhere #thebluroze #believeinyourself

I started my modeling career in Boston, MA at 15 years old. Moved my way up from swimwear to editorial and high fashion. Making a name for myself in Hollywood, CA.

I recently just directed and produced my first short film for IM HERE! #imhereshortfilm will be coming soon this fall. Stay tuned for that!!

Also recently directed my first project of the year called THE COLOUR WAVE, and just got published in a feature in STYLE CRUZE Magazine.

I named it THE COLOUR WAVE.

I wanted to represent diversity in different shades of men. To show the color of the suits really having the models pop out and it be afraid to wear bright colors.

Thank you to everyone who has participated and helped make my vision into reality.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I’ve learned that anything in life can happen. So just be aware, be safe and be smart.
