Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasper Macht and Stefano Ierace.
Jasper and Stefano, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We have been best mates for nearly five years since the beginning of high school. From the get-go, we realized we had the same interests in sports, food, and achieving success in our own lives. After plans to attend our first-choice universities fell through, we both attended Junior College together in 2019, where we really committed ourselves to work even harder at achieving our goals. Once the pandemic began, we quickly started brainstorming the idea of creating our own podcast together. After listening to the likes of Joe Rogan, Tim Ferris, and Michael Gervais for a while up until that point, we felt that we were in a unique position to share new stories of our own and of some of the most successful individuals we know. With that in mind, we quickly gathered all the equipment and resources necessary to create our own podcast this summer. It has been an absolute pleasure for both of us to go through this entire process. We have had the privilege of interviewing some of the top individuals from their respective fields and we look forward to sharing the stories of many more.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Thus far, it has been a pretty smooth road for us. It has definitely been a learning experience to create a broader network of guests, to be as consistent as possible with our content, and keeping our schedules as flexible as possible. As with anything we do, we love and welcome any forms of adversity for our own personal growth. At the end of the day, this project is something we created on our own to have fun and to learn at the same time.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Make The Jump is a commitment to having trust in life’s journey. Our goal is to learn from those who are preparing for the jump, those who made the jump, and those who are still jumping to this day. In weekly episodes, we have conversations with successful individuals willing to share their knowledge and experiences on how they got from one place in their lives to the next. Whether it be from an athlete, a doctor, or even a college student, there is always wisdom to be shared with those willing to listen. We know that success is rarely achieved overnight, so that’s why we’re here to find out exactly what it takes to Make The Jump from those who know best. We are very proud of the authenticity of our podcast and especially the honesty that we put towards our work each and every week. We don’t necessarily focus on how many listens we get on each episode, rather, we enjoy learning from and giving a platform to unique perspectives we come across.
What were you like growing up?
The funny thing is, we’re still growing up. But if we had to answer this question honestly, we were definitely two motivated kids. We both got into organized sports from a young age, which really taught us valuable lessons that we take with us even to this day. This carried over into our school life, as we were both very driven and curious students. This combination has always allowed us to excel in our academics while also being able to enjoy the social aspects that came with our childhood. We speak about it a lot on our podcast, but our families are at the foundation of both of our childhoods. We will forever be in debt to our parents for the values and love that they showed to us on a daily basis. Even though we understand that we still have much to learn, we will always be appreciative and proud of the way we were raised.
