Meet Ivery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Iveryana Bufford.

Iveryana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been doing music for years now. I started off doing music officially when I turned 14 but I began writing at the age of nine. I was originally in a music group with one other person, but the other member began to be sneaky and started creating their own platform and say they were a solo act instead of in a group and started releasing their own music unannounced. I split from the group and began creating my own image. The group lasted for three years. I’ve been given the opportunity to open up for Warren G, Bone Thugz N Harmony, Omarion, YG, Kid Ink, Machine Gun Kelly and more. I’m now creating a team to help push my music as a female rapper. Growing up in not one of the best neighborhoods has pushed me to strive for better and to make and do whatever it takes to make my dreams come true and to continue my journey to success.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing comes easy, it takes a lot of strength and confidence to perform in front of thousands of people, take criticism, always have people watching your every moves and trying to impress everyone. Music definitely takes up time and money and most of all patience. Everything is a process.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I write and record my own music, a lot of people like how I’m so lyrical and straight forward with my music. I’m known for my presentation and versatility. I don’t sound like any other female and I have a powerful voice over any given beat. I’m most proud for impressing and grabbing the attention of people and celebrities as well who have reposted my videos. I’m different from others because of my attitude and style I don’t try to be something I’m not.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Confidence. Hunger. Ambition. Effort. Motivation within myself. Ability to push through it all.
