Today we’d like to introduce you to Indy Rishi Singh.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Indy Rishi. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When I dropped out of medical school, I was compelled to solve problems that modern medicine and science had neglected. It lead me to dive deep into Ayurveda, Hypnosis, and Mindfulness. While I gathered knowledge and research from various cultures, I also developed skills in digital technology and education. For a couple of years, my colleagues and I started a Creative Monastery in the heart of Manhattan. We housed and facilitated artists, engineers and professionals from all around the world. That was a pivotal time in my life, where I learned that many talented people are not realizing their dreams and purposes because they lack community and nurture. This motivated me to start my own company to bring wellbeing and purpose to individuals and organizations, and to bring down the rates of mental illness, depression, chronic illnesses and cancers that plague modern society.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is not designed to be smooth. We rarely learn from our successes. Our failures and trials reveal the greatest lessons, and reflect our greatest weaknesses. I’m fortunate to take this path because there is none before me. There has never been a fully integrative organization dedicated to the wellbeing of every living creature. Innovation requires fortitude. Inventing requires stubbornness. Having purpose for your work and livelihood is not the norm in our society. It often feels like I’m a fish swimming against the current. I am learning that this is common with people who seek to improve paradigms. I am so fortunate to have meditation, community, and service as tools to deal with the struggles an innovator faces.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about iLiving – what should we know?
iLiving is the integration of Eastern Philosophies with Western Technologies. We not only work to make everyone’s wellbeing better, we innovate and design like no one has ever done before. We connect people, we inspire people to be involved in their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their organizations, families and communities. iLiving is the engine for a movement of living better- within the world.
iLiving is a 4 dimensional entity. Wellness x Digital Media x Philanthropy x Think Tank
The most compelling and interesting workshop that iLiving produces is the Laughter Sound Bath, which combines laughter yoga, guided meditation (hypnotherapy) and an acoustic concert. Some of these workshops are sponsored by new companies with incredible tonics and elixirs inspired by Indian, Chinese, and Native American medicines.
iLiving is a octopus company. As it grows, the tentacles get stronger and the different collaborations with other ventures grow as well. Relationships with likeminded, purposeful organizations and brands is very important for iLiving. Conscious capitalism is integral to the success of iLiving.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
No agenda – It is imperative that my purpose is aligned with a motive without agenda. This means that I approach everything I do with a meaningful purpose. Agendas often create expectations and conflict because we all want different things. If my purpose is to solve problems that cause suffering, then I can act without agenda and perform within the natural flow of my integrity and will.
