Meet Ikechukwu Iheanaju of Romeknows, KeysToTheCity

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ikechukwu Iheanaju.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I always had an entrepreneurial mindset, my father was his own boss so that was instilled in me early on. I played football and always wanted to be the person who touched the money first not just working and waiting to get paid. Around 2015 is when I started to really press go on my business ideas. I started selling coffee and was successful, launched my youtube channel and website which was focused on dating advice (now its geared toward reactions), and many other things. Fast forward to now, my main focus is Real Estate. I work with my partner Winner Watts and we founded our platform “Keys To The City” to highlight the daily grind of building an empire. Real estate has been something I’ve wanted to do since 2015 as well, this year I finally jumped in and that is what the focus is currently.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not been a smooth road, a lot of times there was no road. Some of the struggles were having to distance and cut off a lot of people. As you start trying to elevate you have to separate yourself from people not heading in the same direction, or that don’t share your desire. Also having to be self-aware and taking accountability. There are no excuses when you’re an entrepreneur. If something doesn’t work you can only blame you and reflect to figure how to improve. As Tony Robbins said ” It’s not a lack of resources, it’s a lack of resourcefulness”, but for those especially hard times I learned you have to know how to bounce back and not let it stop the progress.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Romeknows, KeysToTheCity story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m more recently known for my Real Estate career. I’m a licensed agent in California helping people buy, sell, and invest in the market. My partner and I Winner Watts have also teamed up to really dominate the state with our “Keys To The City” initiative. What sets me apart from others is my network of resources, I work with a great coach his name is DP3. As a new agent, most people go out and fail because the lack of guidance, and have to learn through incorrect listings, practices, etc. With a coach right out the gate, I can navigate those pitfalls, avoid them, and really dominate and execute flawlessly. I also have a heavy sales background from door to door, in-home, indoor, you name it. I’m just a certified closer and I can prove it day in and day out.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck to me is where opportunity and preparation bump heads. I like to lean away from the concept but I’d be remiss not to notice when God drops a blessing on me. Luck has helped because I was prepared, I think that luck only comes to those who are consistently working. If you depend on luck chances are you lack the actual skill, wherewithal, or drive. All in all any luck I’ve received is from God almighty.
