Meet Ian Galloway of The magicIAN Tour in Anaheim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ian Galloway.

Ian, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started performing magic at age 15 at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Then after working a short time at the Magic shop in Disneyland, I began performing shows full time for corporate events, birthdays, public venues, and schools. I now perform about 25 shows a month of all types.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been up and down and I’ve struggled with a lot of personal issues including my sister passing away in February of 2015. Through this I’ve used determination to persevere and know that my sister would want me to be perusing my dream.

Also, before creating a strong online presence and slowly becoming known in the events world I had doors slammed in my face, people hanging up the phone during a cold call.

The magicIAN Tour – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am most proud of current accomplishments of performing over 25 shows a month. But I am most proud of what will be put together in the coming months with my new special effects light show with holograms. I try to modernize magic by innovating and adding technology into the mix of illusion.

I specialize in performing in theatrical venues where hundreds of people get to experience a full evening of entertainment and adventure.

My magic is much different than other magicians. In fact, you won’t see any magicians in the world doing some of the new pieces of magic I’m adding into the show.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My idea of success is something beyond where I am at. I want people to say I have seen your show and it was amazing to people who see me walking on the street. My idea of success is to have one of the best one man shows in the country.
