Meet Harry Diaz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Harry Diaz.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Harry. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
As a Printmaker and Illustrator, my story starts as far back as High School Print Shop.

That’s where I was introduced to the world of Graphic Arts. I learned screen-printing and offset printing. We used to print business cards for teachers and staff. We also printed all the diplomas.

Looking back, that experience influenced me more than I realized. My interest still remains in the tactile art forms. I work digitally as well, but I always retain some sort of physical ephemera within my work.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Working in the creative isn’t always easy. But I’ve overcome any roadblocks with hard work and focus.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
As an illustrator, I’ve had the pleasure of working with brands like Nike, Billabong, Taco Bell, Urban Outfitters & more. As a printmaker, I’ve had the pleasure of exhibiting my work internationally and having my work sold at various boutique stores around the country and abroad.

What were you like growing up?
I’ve always been an introvert (no surprise there), but I had a lot of friends who started playing in bands and traveling locally. Those times brought me out of my shell, and I was also exposed to the DIY culture. Punk and Hard Core was and is part of who I am.
