Meet Hanna Sint

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Sint.

Hi Hanna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It was February 6, 2019, my birthday. I had just gotten a text from a friend but it wasn’t a birthday text. It said “hey, I gave my photographer your number.” He didn’t say Happy Birthday at all actually and I was kind of mad that he was exploiting me without asking first. Little did he know, it was the best birthday gift anyone could have ever given me, an opportunity into the modeling world.

I started off as a photographer. I enjoyed shooting and I always veered toward photography art classes throughout high school and college.

When my friend’s professional photographer texted me (not even 10 minutes later) about needing a model for the sunglasses ad that he was making on Instagram, I of course said yes. I showed up that weekend ready but not ready enough for the four other very talented photographers and the Chinese New Year parade that I was going to be partly leading. As all of them posted my photos overtime, they opened me up to a whole world of photography on social media that I didn’t even know existed. This led me to be able to work with other extremely talented photographers and that’s how I got into modeling.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been smooth. It’s almost like you’re a new kid enrolling in a new school. Some people are really curious to get to know you, some people are really excited to see a new face, and some people hate that there’s someone new. Most people gave me a chance and some people took a while to warm up to me. It happens.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a model. Specifically a creative model, mostly on Instagram and aspiring to be in commercial.

I am known for my creative portraits on Instagram that I make by collaborating with many different photographers.

I am most proud of my versatility and the ability to bring to life any vision that I or anyone that I work with have.

I am not a typical fashion model particularly due to my height (4’11). I have hope of bringing a different light to the world of modeling and that I can inspire others like me to be able to model if that is their dream.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was when I got to be in every dance plus a solo during a traditional festival at our Burmese Buddhist Temple. I loved to dance and I loved to perform.
